The scientists evaluated the habits of more than 40,000 people over a twenty year period. After poring over dietary records they determined that the benefits were greatest for those who drank coffee in the morning.
The researchers observed two distinct coffee drinking patterns: morning (more than a third of respondents) and all-day (about a seventh of respondents). Those who drank coffee in the morning enjoyed a significantly lower risk of deaths from any cause, including stroke and heart attack. What’s more, those who indulged in more than one morning mug were even more likely to survive.
