there are many reasons to develop dementia (multiple stokes, water on the brain, radiation damage)... Alzheimer's is the biggest one... I would say there's a 60% chance of curing one or more of the causes and a 40% chance of curing Alzheimer's itself
For a majority of cases, it stands to reason that prevention is better than trying to cure an illness. Hence Marc’s recommendations to take care of yourself now while you don’t have it make a ton of sense!That’s is in essence a cure, if you never get it
I was surprised by the untreated vision and hearing being such a factor.
If a person doesn’t smoke, keeps their body weight down, exercises, and keeps the drinking down, then chances are they won’t have problems at the doctor’s office. Their blood pressure etc will be okay.
